If you’re planning a holiday this year, it’s important to keep up-to-date with the latest travel advice from The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). It’s also important to know when you will require a Standard Fit-to-Fly Certificate and when will require a COVID-19 Fit-for-Travel Certificate.
Travel regulations continue to change to adapt to the constantly evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
How it works – at-home rapid antigen self-testing
Order before flying
Individuals intending to fly overseas are required to use private testing facilities to secure their COVID-19 Fit to Fly Certificate.
The majority of airlines and destinations require a Fit to Fly certificate evidencing a negative COVID-19 test sample 72 hours before the flight.
You must confirm that the country you are traveling to accepts Antigen Rapid Test certificates
1. Purchase online before you fly
Make sure to order and receive the kit before you fly and perform the sample collection to procedure only within 72 hours of your flight time.
2. Receive Test Kit
We will send your Covid-19 test kit to you in the post by Royal Mail Tracked 24 service.
3. Complete Test
The kit contains everything you need to take your sample correctly. Follow the instructions carefully. The test result will be ready in 15 minutes. A health advisor will check your result.
4. Email result
No need to send the sample to the lab. Take a picture of the result as well as a one of your passport (make sure they are very clear) and then email them to us.
5. Results & Certificate
One of our health advisors will check the results. Once all confirmed we will issue your Fit to Fly certificate in PDF format and email it to you.

FAQs
Several airlines require passengers to produce evidence of a recent negative COVID-19 test before flying. COVID-19 Fit-for-Travel Certificates are proof that you have tested negative for Covid-19. It is not related to your risk of flying due to your pre-existing medical conditions. You can get a free NHS test for coronavirus at a test site near you if you’re showing symptoms of coronavirus. However, COVID-19 tests are not available on the NHS for the purpose of international travel. In this instance private tests must be carried out.
Your COVID-19 Fit-for-Travel Certificate is only valid for a short time, your airline and destination will have their own requirements. It’s therefore important to check the requirements and take your test within the required time frame. For more information, click here.
It usually takes 24 hours to return your sample to us, and a further 24 hours for our labs to process it. It can take longer if this process crosses a weekend, when most postal services are not operating.
You can order your test kit at any time in advance. Please ensure that you order your kit a minimum of 7-10 days before your flight. If you order your kit before 3pm Monday to Friday, we will send it to you by special delivery on the same day and you will receive your kit the following day. If you purchase your test kit over the weekend, please take into consideration that this will add 1-2 additional days onto your delivery time.
You should take the test on Day 5 of your self-isolation period. You should allow at least 48 hours for your result before you can end your self-isolation period (if your test’s negative).

The remnants of the virus causing COVID-19 infection can be detected by PCR test for up to 90 days after infection. During this time you may get a positive result.
The vaccine will not cause a positive on a COVID-19 viral test, such as PCR, LAMP and antigen. However an individual may test positive for the antibody test, due to developing an immune response.
